Roles


What Supporters Do

Sign up, then you are a supporter of the Just Peace Agreement.
You don't have to do more but, if you would like to, you can:
Volunteer to help translate this website from English into any language.
Volunteer to help promote the Just Peace Agreement on the internet.
Volunteer to help Peacemaker with web-site design, web security, etc.
Volunteer to help Peacemaker as an interpreter, lawyer or negotiator.
You can volunteer to help via the contact page.


What Peacemaker Does

We define and update the text of the Just Peace Agreement.
We promote worldwide support for the Just Peace Agreement.
We publish the JPA website in various languages.
We review and correct the legal language used in the agreement.
We recruit and co-opt new members to carry out these functions.
We commend adoption of the Just Peace Agreement to the parties.
We act as mediators between parties adopting the agreement.
We act as representative to guide implementation before the IVGR is appointed.
We do nothing irrelevant to the JPA.
Our job is the definition, promotion, adoption and implementation of the JPA.


What Israel Does

Here are some of the things Israel will do when implementing the JPA:
Adopt the Just Peace Agreement in a public declaration.
Declare truce under the principle of non-violence of the JPA.
Lift any state of siege applying to Palestinian territory.
Declare an amnesty covering all individuals engaged in the conflict.
Remove road-blocks and checkpoints in Palestine.
Recognise the independent State of Palestine, including donated territories.
Agree the timetable for withdrawal of Israeli military forces from Palestine.
Transfer prisoners of the conflict to international supervision.
Participate in the one-to-one land-swap of townships adjacent to the border.
Donate an additional 330 square km of territory to Palestine.
Set up a Palestinian corridor linking the West Bank to Gaza.
Set up and co-operate in governing Jerusalem as a bi-national Parity Zone.
Rename all military forces as Defense of the Land and start integration.
Let Israeli Arab citizens vote to become Palestinian citizens.
Fully protect the security and rights of permanent residents of Israel.
Normalize relations with Palestine and all neighboring Arab states.
Set up and participate in the Israel-Palestine Co-operation Committee.
Over the following 15 years, participate in economic development projects.
Co-operate with Palestine to achieve parity between the states.


What Palestine Does

Here are some of the things Palestine will do when implementing the JPA:
Adopt the Just Peace Agreement in a public declaration.
Declare truce under the principle of non-violence of the JPA.
Join in the amnesty covering all individuals engaged in the conflict.
Agree the timetable for withdrawal of Israeli military forces from Palestine.
Recognise and normalize relations with the State of Israel.
Participate in the one-to-one land-swap of townships adjacent to the border.
Accept and integate donations of territory to Palestine.
Administer the Palestinian corridor linking the West Bank to Gaza.
Set up and co-operate in governing Jerusalem as a bi-national Parity Zone.
Rename all military forces as Defense of the Land and start integration.
Transfer prisoners of the conflict to international supervision.
Let Israeli citizens apply to become Palestinian residents.
Fully protect the security and rights of permanent residents of Palestine.
Transfer prisoners of the conflict to international supervision.
Set up and participate in the Israel-Palestine Co-operation Committee.
Over the following 15 years, participate in economic development projects.
Co-operate with Israel to achieve parity between the states.


What Irregular Forces Do

By "irregular forces" we mean Palestinian resistance / terrorist groups.
Here are some of the things they will do when implementing the JPA:
Adopt the Just Peace Agreement in a public declaration.
Declare truce under the principle of non-violence of the JPA.
Join in the amnesty covering all individuals engaged in the conflict.
Transfer prisoners of the conflict to international supervision.
Agree a timetable with the Demilitarization Monitoring Group.
Centralize all weapons of the irregular forces, under DMG inspection.
Put beyond use all weapons of the irregular forces, under DMG inspection.
Renounce the use of violence and extend the truce indefinitely.
Integrate irregular forces into police, security forces or Defense of the Land.
Disband all remaining irregular forces.
Reform as political parties and participate in the democratic process.


What the Consignatories Do

The governments of every other country in the world, and supra-national organizations, are potential co-signatories of the Just Peace Agreement.
Here are some of the things they will do under the JPA:

Sign the Just Peace Agreement along with Palestine and Israel.
Commit to supporting the principal signatories in fully implementing the agreement.
Contribute staff to the various international bodies needed for implementation.
Play their part in polling, resettling and rehabilitating Palestinian refugees.
Contribute funds and resources for the 15-year economic development program.


What the Neighboring States Do

Some countries have special roles, giving land to Palestine.
Here are the things we request them to do in the JPA:

Egypt: donate 13010 square km of the Sinai to Palestine.
Saudi Arabia: donate a compensatory area of territory to Egypt.
Jordan: donate 330 square kilometers of territory to Palestine.
Syria: make a "land for peace" agreement with Israel, and then...
Syria: ...donate 330 square kilometers of territory to Palestine.
Israel: donate 330 square kilometers of territory to Palestine.
