Frequently Asked Questions
Nothing has worked before. Why is the JPA any different?
The JPA is different from every other initiative and deal, in critical
ways that will make it work. It includes everyone and is acceptable
to everyone. Up front, it delivers the true vital needs of the
Palestinian people in a dramatic and tangible form: it is justice that
they can see and feel. Deeper inside, it delivers the true vital
needs of Israel too: lasting security based on acceptance and friendship.

The hatred runs too deep. You can't get rid of it.
If we leave it to run on and on, the hatred will only get worse. Now
is the time to resolve the conflict once and for all, to make a lasting peace,
and drain the poison of hatred from the minds of all those involved. It
is not yet too late. Maybe one day, it will be.
non-violence
The situation is too complex to solve so easily.
Like every complex situation, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has certain core
factors that are critical. All the complexity arises from these core factors,
which the Just Peace Agreement deals with directly and resolves by establishing the
principles of democracy, non-violence, parity and finality. The
agreement is complex too, because out of these core principles it creates the
detailed means for unlocking and resolving all the complex interlocked problems.

Leave them to it. Can't they work out their own treaty?
The Palestinians will never accept a deal dictated by Israel, nor the
Israelis one dictated by Palestinians. They cannot or will not
reach a negotiated settlement — many do not even want to. Yet
when offered a package deal that includes all they truly need in a settlement,
these same people say they would accept it, by an overwhelming majority!
And the Just Peace Agreement is way better than any other package deal that has
ever been imagined, for both parties.
outside the box
But why would they accept a treaty dictated from outside?
The Just Peace Agreement is not dictated by anyone. It is carefully designed
to deliver all the requirements of the parties, and yet to be easily affordable by
everyone. It is offered as a gift, not imposed. The outcome that the
JPA promises can never come from inside the conflict: it has to be created
whole, by neutral outsiders who have nothing to gain from it themselves, yet the
audacity to ask the whole world to contribute the resources necessary to make it work.
independent and neutral
I still don't think we have a right to decide the solution for them.
Those who support the Just Peace Agreement are not imposing it. We are
offering a solution that we believe will be acceptable to all the parties and
can resolve the conflict in a way that benefits everyone equally.
The moment one of the parties adopts the agreement, it becomes theirs, not ours.
I'll wait and see what people say about it and then decide.
People will say all sorts of things about it, positive and negative. They
will scorn it or praise it, criticize it or attempt to improve it, build it up
or throw it down. But it is right here on this website and you can read as
much or a little of it as you like.  Then make up your own mind. If you think
this is a better way than endless conflict, please sign up to support the JPA.
