Who We Are

The authors of the Just Peace Agreement are ordinary people from various countries.

We are not associated with any of the parties to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, nor with any government or other political body.  We have a single aim, which is the definition, promotion, adoption and implementation of the JPA.  We do not do anything else, and we do not allow the Just Peace Agreement to be coupled with any other national, political, social, or humanitarian aim or organization.

We, the people involved in creating and promoting the JPA, call ourselves Peacemaker.  Peacemaker is not an official organization of any kind.  It is a co-operative of like-minded, neutral, independent individuals who are committed to the principles underlying the JPA and who work together to promote support for the JPA, its adoption and eventually its implementation.

From time to time people with special skills volunteer to assist Peacemaker in tasks such as translation, web work or promotion, legal drafting, or mediation.  After checking that the volunteers are neutral and are committed to the principles underlying the JPA, they are invited to join us and they become part of Peacemaker just by doing their job.

Peacemaker does not accept donations of money — only of time, energy and goodwill.

What We Do

We define and update the text of the Just Peace Agreement.
We promote worldwide support for the Just Peace Agreement.
We publish the JPA website in various languages.
We review and correct the legal language used in the agreement.
We recruit and co-opt new members to carry out these functions.
We commend adoption of the Just Peace Agreement to the parties.
We act as mediators between parties adopting the agreement.
We act as representatives to guide implementation before the IVGR is appointed.
We do nothing irrelevant to the JPA.
Our aim is the definition, promotion, adoption and implementation of the JPA.
